Default Samsung India: The Blu-ray disc drive era is about to begin

According to Samsung India, “The Blu-ray disc drive era is about to begin. This revolutionary product for the optical disc drive market offers a huge storing capacity. While HDTV and digital broadcasting service markets get bigger, and consumer demand continues to grow for HD programming, the consumer’s expectation for the benefits of the high-capacity Blu-ray disc drive is already being established.

Blu-ray as a disc player enables you to continue to view and enjoy your existing DVD libraries. Says R Manikandan, business group head, LG; “Blu-ray is currently supported by more than 170 of the world’s leading consumer electronics, personal computer, recording media, video game and music companies. The format also has broad support from major movie studios as a successor to today’s DVD format.

The LG Blu-ray disc rewriter combines cutting edge Blu-ray technology with all other optical disc formats. Compatibility with all recordable disc formats takes the complexity and guesswork out of purchasing blank media. There is, however, a little problem. According to Manikandan, “Since Blu-ray discs have high definition content it is better to see it on HDTV. In normal televisions the resolution will not be very good.
