It struck me as I read through a couple of the "is title xxx worth a blind buy" threads, that it is no longer a blind buy if someone recommends it to you.
So... doesn't asking for recommendations negate the concept of a blind buy? I mean, basically, if 30 of us in the forum recommend a movie to you when you ask about it... then you're not really blind buying anymore in the same way as you would if you knew nothing about the movie. This is not a bashing thread... but just a conceptual thread. Nothing wrong with asking for reviews/recommendations... I do it too... but it just struck me that when I ask about something then I'm an informed buyer rather than a blind one. |
