eD A7-700 Subwoofer Contest - POLL INSIDE!!!! - Blu-ray Forum

This contest will be held over the course of the next two weeks, starting July 1st and ending July 14th. The winner of this contest will be placed into a random drawing conducted by Elemenal Designs, it will include the winners of several other internet forum drawings similar to this one. The winner of that drawing will win an Elemental Designs A7-700 subwoofer.

Note: Shipping will be paid for within the lower 48 states. If the winner decides that they would like to have it shipped outside of the country, shipping charges will apply.

The basis of this poll is simple.....

Choose your favorite scene on a Blu-ray disc to show off your subwoofer.

Your username must be in the poll results for you to have a chance to win! Meaning all you have to do is vote!

Since this is all about the subwoofers and not surround effects, I have to go depth charges baby! The local police surround my house with assault weapons when I play that scene.

Transformers, that beginning scene with the osprey and the battle that ensues not only pushes my subs extremely hard, but it even makes my buttkicker clip if I am not careful!

had to go with i, Robot. that was the very first scene that made my wife jump! Although the ballistic test in TDK is close second. it's too short to get 1st place, IMO.

Transformers: The Ironhide Sweep is by far one of my favorite scenes that just rocks my world. However, pretty much that whole movie will demo a sub to death and will make that sub dance for all it's worth. Can't forget that opening scene!

+1. Had to go with this Blu-ray as well. Plus, I sure could use an A7-700 sub so I could provide an even "deeper" experience

There are some great choices on the list, but I had to go with Transformers, with U-571 or Iron Man a close second.

There's a few in this movie of course, but when the Hospital exploded the 1st time I watched my Bluray, I had to jump up quick to turn down BOTH Subs. It's a nice 3-4 (?) second explosion too, so you really get to feel & hear whatever your Sub or Subs you have, do their job.

** EDIT: I assume none of us would be adding POLYFILL to this Sub...?

I went w/ the campus fight in Incredible Hulk. It was like they wrote in that scene for people to show off their systems.

Transformer's the bignning wiht the wave at the militray base and Ironhide's sweep, the glass in my kitchen shakes so bad I fear everytime it's gonna break. Transformers all the way. Of course Topgun is nothing but bass as well espically the pass by. BUT TRANSFORMEERSthe best. OF COURSE if you would have put Step up 2: the Streets that would have been a hard contest for me.

How are they gonna decide who winns from this contest on this forum? Can anyone explain how they decide?

As a child growing up in the 80's, the movie Top Gun was one of my favorites (and Danger Zone was my first 'favorite song'). My wife got me the Blu-Ray of the movie, and I love that scene. Others may have more dynamic bass, but that scene gives me chills

It appears other sites are included as well.......very slim chance indeed. But worth the try for that sub!

I had to pick Shoot em Up, because that is the first movie I watched with HD sound and a proper home theatre. I had a grin ear to ear.
