Anyone know what the cheapest laptop that has a built in Blu drive is?

What is your time window to buy?

If you can wait long enough, visit slickdeals.net daily. I am keeping them on a tab and refreshing them about 4-5 times a day. PC/laptop deals will pop up, and I know I've seen some with Blu Ray drives before - and them some for cheap.

If you use Bing cashback you might want to visit Dell and HP's websites... Their current cashback percentage is 20%...

Its not cheap but I am so stoked. I just got the AlienWare m15X almost fully loaded for $2,413. Blu-ray drive and burner.

Sorry just ordered it last night had to tell you guys.

i just bought a sony vaio FW520 from American for $999, blu-ray read, DVD/CD burn. I love it so far.

laptop slim drives are roughly $50 and some change delivered, but you'll need to have laptop capable of playing BD. luckily, my gateway has radeon 3200 and was easily capable of play BDs, just didn't have the drive. so i got one, plugged it in and could play it even through HDMI output >P. got it from ebay.

desktop size 5.25" bays are roughly $60ish if you JUST want reader capability. the only model that i know is capable of reading is Liteon's iHOS104-06.

as for models that read BD AND burn DVDRW, those are around $100.

a blu-ray BURNER is $150ish, but c'mon no1 ever buys it at that price

. they wait for the $130 sale like LG just had recently. but i got mine GGW-H20L many m00ns ago at that price when it was more like 170 =P.

FYI, I bought a Sony Vaio CW series (17FX at Best Buy) which is $800. It is a great machine, and even plays most games with relatively high/good settings. The blu-ray quality is great, and it has HDMI output as well.

There is a thread on here that I started about the laptop.

I just got the Toshiba Satellite a505-s6014 for $799.99. It has the Intel i5 CPU, 500 GB HDD, 4 GB DDR3, Blu-ray drive/CD/DVD Burner, Wifi, HDMI, eSATA, webcam, Face Recognition, 16" 720p screen. So far, I love it!

Just got a Sony VIAO, with BD drive and 2TB external HDD from BestBuy for $1000 out the door. Unless you're using a HTPC and gaming setup, there's no point in spending that much for a laptop with BD drive.
