Pink Live In Australia, muffled vocals ? - Blu-ray Forum

I got the Pink bluray the other day and man it has to be one of the most poorly encoded concerts I have ever heard. Her voice is literally muffled throughout like someone didn't properly calibrate the center channel. This is the only disc I have had to use the dialogue enhancement from my receiver on. Then the vocals are much clearer. I actually couldn't understand what Pink was saying without the feature engaged. I am bitstreaming the True HD sound from my Pioneer BDP-05 to my Pioneer SC-05 reciever. Polk Audio LSi speakers all the way around.

I'm bitstreaming from a PS3 slim to a Pioneer VSX 92TXH receiver used as a pre/pro with Rotel amps and Monitor Audio speakers and the vocals sounded fine too me.

I don't know there are so many points where her vocals are drowned out by the surrounding music. Many points where you can not decifer the lyrics. Like she doesn't have her face close enough to the microphone. I can't imagine they put a bad batch of discs out. With the True HD and DD tracks there is a +4db increase due to dialogue norm, but that has no effect on my adjustments. I normally would lower the volume 4db but the concert is recorded at alow volume. I have many concerts and never owned one where the singers voice was hard to decifer.

I got this BD earlier this week and I have no complaints on the audio.

I have this disc and have watched it several times. Aside from the audio being a tad on the low side, everything seems to be top notch for me. Vocals aren't muffled at all.

The audio is great on this disc. Haven't had any issuses with it at all and have watched it many times with many different people. Sounds great.
I did own the DVD when it first came out, and it did have some small phasing problems with the audio but the blu-ray is clean as can be.

I've got to think that you've got a setting messed up on your system somewhere. This disc is fantastic, including the audio.

First Blu-ray I bought after having the standard DVD. I have had no issues with the audio.

Why? It is an amazing concert. The band is good, the somgs rock and she rocks. I was not a fan until I saw this show on broadcast tv last month. Check out some of the footage on YouTube.
