Default Paradigm Cinema 70 CT

I'm finally about to purchase my first speaker system! My budget is (tentatively) $1,500. My limitations are thus:

- I live in an apartment, so nothing too powerful
- Nothing too big (physically speaking)
- Something that, despite its lack of size, gives you bang for your buck

With these limitations in mind, I've found the Paradigm Cinema 70 CT system. It seems to be a nice system for the price ($649). My parents have a Paradigm system (it might even be the Cinema 70s, I don't remember). They provide plenty power for the buck, at least as far as I'm concerned. I know that many users on here are fans of Paradigm, but most seem to have the Monitor or Studio series. Does anybody have an words of advice on the Cinema series?

On top of the speakers, I was planning on getting an Onkyo 607 and two pairs of Paradigm's floorstands. These stands are $170 per pair. Does anyone have any advice on floorstands that are cheaper? Thanks everyone!

I also just found the Onkyo 607 for $340 at accessories4less.com. Anybody have any experience with them? Good/bad?

They seem to frequently ship bad products, but they are good about replacing them with working ones. If the cost of the receiver plus the cost of return shipping is still less then what you can find at other places, it's a good deal. Even with the high return rate, I still suggest this place to people. It's hard to beat the prices.

Thanks for the advice, kareface. I see that you have some Paradigm Monitor series. Do you like them? Have you heard the Cinema series before?

BTW I just went through your gallery (with 121 shots, how could I pass it up?). The amount of care and hours that you have put into your theater is remarkable. That's some of the best craftsmanship I've seen on the site and that's saying something. The fact that you built your own speakers is commendable.
