If you decide to import, it's going to be quite expensive to ship international considering the weight of the product and the packing material. To save money, I would buy something from a local or an in country retailer. I process UPS and Fed-EX domestic and international orders of various machinery replacements parts at my place of employment, and the international shipments are very expensive. Fed-Ex international tends to cost more than UPS! If it's not an emergency or a essential item, it wouldn't be worth the shipping cost. Also take into consideration that If something goes wrong with the product, you'll have to go through all the hassle of repacking and taking it to the Fed-Ex or UPS facility to return it, then you'll have to wait for the retailer to ship a replacement and the whole nine yards. It's something to think about.
