Buying BD movies because they are BD movies?

Let me first state that I am unlikely to ever again purchase a DVD movie. In fact I haven't since late last year 2006. The exception are the movies for my son like Little Einstein, The Wiggles, etc.

The point of this thread is that I am so enamored with the picture and audio quality of BD releases that I find myself willing to purchase movies that I would not otherwise watch. For example I recently purchased TMNT and I have to say I would never have watched this if it was only available on DVD. Cars which is released in November is another title I never bought on DVD but is a must on BD. Has anyone else experienced the power of Blu in terms of buying movies you would have otherwise said, "ehh" too?
