ZEN Pinball Released - Blu-ray Forum

US, May 12, 2009 - LOS ANGELES, Calif. - ZEN Studios confirmed today that it will release a free-to-play demo version of ZEN Pinball on May 14, 2009 exclusively for PlayStation®Network (PSN). The ZEN Pinball playable demo allows players to sample the high-speed action of the first pinball videogame ever to launch of PlayStation Network with one of the four original pinball tables from the full version of the game. The full version of ZEN Pinball will also be available starting Thursday, May 14 exclusively through PlayStation Store for $9.99.

"We have received huge success with our Pinball FX title on XBLA and fans around the world have been clamoring for a solid pinball title on PlayStation Network," said Zsolt Kigyossy, managing director for ZEN Studios. "We're pleased to offer a free sample pinball table that introduces players to the intense realistic pinball physics and mechanics that can be found in the full edition. In ZEN Pinball, flipper experts and arcade fans alike will experience the high-octane rush of arcade-style pinball with a variety of in-game missions, head-to-head online multi-player bouts and multi-day worldwide tournaments. I love pinball. I know I'll be buying this. I wonder if they'll use the sixaxis controls, and allow you to shake pinball machine.

there hasnt been a solid Pinball game on consoles since ps1 .. i forget hte name it was like cruisin usa or something had a yellow cover ,.. was awesome ..

Nah, Cruis'n USA was part of an arcade and console racing series that also included Cruis'n World and Cruis'n Exotica. Sorry, I'm not sure what other pinball game you're thinking of.

Unless this is ridiculously expensive, I'll be getting this. I love virtual pinball (I've always sucked at real pinball, though).

4 tables alone doesn't sound like that much replayability. I know they said more tables would be available for download later, but I'm sure they'll charge for those too. Unless there's MUCH more to it than they're telling us now, I don't think I'd pay more than $5.99 for the initial 4-table game, and $1 for each additional table, bundles would be okay too, like 4 more tables for $3.99 or something. I can see myself getting bored by only the first 4 tables fairly quickly.

By comparison, the initial Magic Ball release has 48 levels and is $9.99. I'm hoping for a reasonable price point too, S_P.

Oh, and I'm stoked for the Magic Ball DLC this week too. It's too bad it'll have to take a back seat to the Valkyria DLC.

yeah i realised that name was coming from a racing game of sorts .. it had USA in the title .. and an all yellow cover .. i wish i could remember hte name cause i was so pissed when my copy disappeared and i couldnt find a copy in stores ... ..

pro pinball big racin usa .... no console pinball game i have tried has even come close to how well this game was made .. EVERYTHING was adjustable .. table angle ball weight and friction ... i mean everything .. was adjustable ... and was a damn fun theme too

I think it was Space Pinball 3D or something. I just wish they ported it over to Vista. I had so much fun playing that.
