Smile My Custom Speaker Stands...

Hi Fellas!

Well, I posted some pics of these stands in the eD subwoofer thread, but thought a little more info on the stands themselves might be appreciated.

Specs:

*Constructed of 3/4 inch G1S plywood throughout (if I were to make another pair, I'd probably use MDF or another less grainy wood).
*Facade piece is alder wood stained with "rosewood". 6-7 layers of clear wood finish top it off (spray can version).
*Weight Capacity: probably upwards of 50+ pounds.
*Final weight w/ sand: 19.6 pounds each.
*30" high
*Base: 11" x 12"
*Top Plate: 9" x 9"
*Base has rubber isolation/bumper feet on the bottom.
*Top Plate has polyurethane isolation feet on top.
*Center section is filled with silica sand and "sealed" with wax.
*3" wood screws attach the center section to the base, while 1 1/2" screws secure the top to the center.
*The sides of the center section are offset inward a 1/2", adding stability, strength, and an aesthetic touch to the stands (or, at least I think so ).
*The stands have 2 coats of primer and 4 coats of black gloss paint.

Hope you guys like them. They were a blast to build.

If anyone is interested, I might be willing to build you a pair of desired dimensions (without the sand of course, it just adds weight and can be put in later). Just shoot me a PM.

Thanks!
