Difficulty ejecting discs - Blu-ray Forum

I have an 80Gb PS3 that is having a hard time ejecting discs. Regardless of how I try to eject them (through the menu or w/ the eject button) the console beeps and sounds like it tries but the disc ends up stuck in the slot, with none of it making it out of the console. I've been able to force eject by then holding on the eject button for 5-10 seconds but I can't imagine that's particularly good for the console and I'm constantly afraid it won't work and I'll lose a disc. At this point my PS3 is way out of warranty so I'm looking for an at-home fix if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks.

Sounds like your PS3's on it's way out...like mine the other night, I got the YLOD.

The drive is on its way out nothing you can do but get a new one.
