how was ur experience with the PS3......remember the good days ...then look at the specs for the stand alone and compare.....im PS3 all the way tho..with that...u can play 3 or 4 demo/games when ur bored,,plus watch the movies...and gauranteed firmware for bd-java etc..did i mention browse the net

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=25632 The PS3 decodes dolby true-hd internally. Currently it does not decode DTS MA. The BD30 bitstreams both dolby true-hd and DTS MA. It does not internally decode them in the player. If you have an hdmi receiver that decodes these high end codecs then you may want the BD30. If you have an hdmi receiver that doesn't decode then the PS3. And if neither, then you may want a player that decodes internally and has analog 5.1 or 7.1 outputs. |
