Default Quick question: Near Dark or Cast Away BD?

Yeah, this is one of those "I need a sub-$10 title to throw in with my order" threads.

I haven't seen either movie. They've been in my to-watch list for years. I know they're pretty slim on extras (especially Cast Away), but I don't have time to watch all my movies, let alone the special features!

Near Dark, it's a pretty good vampire movie that will probably grow on you. Cast Away is an isolation movie so get it if you like those kinds of movies.

Both are very good flicks, but I wouldn't wish the Near Dark Blu-Ray on anyone. The worst transfer I've ever seen. Cast Away looks and sounds amazing. I'd say go with that and pick up a used copy of the 2-disc Near Dark DVD for $5.

Cast Away, besides being a really terrific movie, looks really great on blu. I'd go with that one.

I'm glad other people think Cast Away looks and sounds great. I've read some people who think it's terrible (quality wise) and I can't agree with them. It looks incredibly natural and the sound design is fantastic. Just remember to enable ES/EX if you have it as the film was originally intended to use the rear channels despite the Blu-ray not being flagged for it.

Im obviously a big fan of Near Dark, but watching that bluray was so incredibly disappointing. usually if its something i really like i talk myself into finding something positive about it and being satisfied but it is just bad bad bad
