“Citizen Kane” was scanned and restored by Lowry Digital Images (DTS). Kinowelt recently got access to this master and is presenting Citizen Kane with a very high picture quality. Detail resolution and picture sharpness are very high for a movie from 1941. The image creates an exetremely good 3-dimensional sense of depth. The picture contrast is pretty good. At the beginning of the movie there is heavy film grain noticeable, but the grain gets finer and finer as the movie progresses.
