Movie New Years Resolutions - Blu-ray Forum

I know we're a bit late on this. But did anybody else set movie related new years resolutions for themselves?

My resolution is to watch every movie released by A24, Annapurna Pictures, Drafthouse Films and Europacorp.

I loaded them all up in my Letterboxd watchlist, just under 200 movies.

The Europacorp list is going to be particularly difficult, as many of them have not been released in the US or in English friendly versions. But I will not be deterred.

Watch more movies that have been sitting on my shelf still unwatched.

Sell movies I don't want anymore (thin the collection).

Grade movies more critically.

Blind-buy less (ha, fat chance...).

Explore, and enjoy.

Expecting to shoot about mid-year. Hope it goes well.

Same movie resolution every year, watch some lesser known movies from the previous year(s).

My goal? Cut back on new films and watch more catalog classics to be in the cool kid camp.

Thankyou, been planning it for quite a while. Made a fair few short films so I think I'm ready.

Oh, and I'm totally going to get blu-rays made when it's done.

you "watch more movies" folks should be more specific!

set an ambitious goal like "watch every movie John Travolta, Nicholas Cage, or Tom Cruise were in"

or

"watch every Fox Searchlight production"

gotta step up your game folks. 'Watch more movies' is like saying 'lose weight.' you gotta set goals.

I intend to get my collection as close to 300 as possible by the end of the year, will also make a conscious effort to go to the theatre at least 80 total times this year. Already gone 22 times so I'd say the second part is safe.

Oh yeah I want to see at least 20 films in cinemas for this theatrical year so I can post a list in the Blu-ray.com best movie awards!
