Question Question on Onkyo surround speakers...

Good day fellow forum members... this is the first time I create a thread in this sub-forum, I purchased last week from Amazon the Onkyo HT-S3400... it was an upgrade from an old receiver I had with no HDMI input/output.

In the same order I purchased the speaker stands for my surround speakers... I got the ones Amazon conveniently offered in one of those "buy together..." things, based on that I assumed the stands would fit the speakers... which they don't...

Before going through the hassle of returning them I wanted to see if someone could help me with a question... the stands (Atlantic Satellite 77305018) do have everything needed to screw the speakers into them, the problem actually comes from the Onkyo speakers not having any place to put in a screw in them! they do have one of those holes to hang them by and another hole in the back in which no screw seems to fit...

so, is there an Onkyo piece I may be missing so I can fit them to the stand or do I definitely need to buy the more-expensive-and-exclusive Onkyo stands?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried using the double sided tape? I have the Onkyo s3300 and these stands. It works fine with my surround speakers.

yeah that's what I ended up using but I don't think I trust they will stay there... I know I need to handle them with care but I don't think the cleaning lady will... thanks for responding!

Np. I've had my stands for about a month and a half now and my dogs run into it constantly. The speaker is still on there.

it is good to hear that, I guess I will give it a try as is then... just wanted to see if there was something else I could use besides the double sided tape... my old speakers were screwed tightly and never gave a problem, using tape after that was shocking I guess... thanks again guitaristguy313!

I just bought this set about an hour ago from amazon after they lowered it to 299. How do you like it so far?

I instaled this last Saturday and have watched 2 movies and 2 episodes from The Pacific... I am still checking the manual for the different configurations that can be used...

So far, the sound is clear and way better than my old Sony HT, which makes sense since it was not an HD receiver, Tron Legacy's soundtrack and sound effects were just amazing in the Onkyo compared to the old one... The Incredibles as well...

Setting up and configuring was very easy and for the price I paid ($319) I do believe it is a great deal!
