Default "Hancock" sound compressed?

Hey all,

I just watched Hancock again on my new BD player, and the audio seemed really compressed. Like, the audio had no dynamic range. For instance, during the fight in the streets near the end, the dialogue was actually louder than everything exploding. Anyone else get that, or is there something wrong with my setup?

Thanks!

Try checking which audio track is selected in the disc menu. Also, check your receiver or amp to see which audio track is being played.

I was playing TrueHD via bitstream, no dynamic range limiting on the player or on my amp.

Yeah, I noticed that too, I think that's the way the audio was mixed...

What a let down was the train scene, the music was really really loud and I was expecting a big BOM when hancock stop the train...

ok that answers my unasked question. I was wondering this too but just figured it was a sound mix thing.
