Sounds interesting. I'll be more interested when the price is better.

I'm still holding out hope they'll release the original UK version over here too like they did with Planet Earth.

It's possible. We'll find out when online stores like Amazon put it up for preorder.

So anyone know if it was shot at 1080i50? if it was, that's what I'd rather have.

The UK version is region free, but it will not play in US PS3's, it gets to the main menu and when you make your selection the menu comes up again and again and again. Due to the 50hz nature of the main content it just won't go past that point. Other region A players probably won't have that problem if your player converts to 60hz you should have no problem playing it on your TV.

I wouldn't bother importing it though unless your sure you can play it.

I thought LIFE was great. When they made the series the new toy was slow motion hi definition. As you will verify when you see it for yourselves, there are some fantastic scenes in slow motion, from gigantic waves to lizards firing out their tongues at the speed of light. Truly amazing cinematography.

Yeah I bought this a while ago, and it is a very interesting documentary. If you have a player that can play 1080i/50 (and a TV that will accept it), get the U.K. Edition.
