Canada What equipment are reviewers using?

Hello! Is there a place where I can learn about what kind of equipment/setup the reviewers are using for screening the titles?

I sometime read about titles who are given 5/5 on picture quality but are only average in my opinion. I'm using a 109 inches front projection setup and it clearly shows the good just like the bad of the disc picture.

If a reviewer uses a 32 inches 720P lcd from 15 feet, it's no wonder most BD will look OK on such setup!

Just asking!

I am sure they use there own setups . I am sure it is not A 32" 720P TV either .
They would have to have A decent sound setup as well so I am sure it is A real good Display as well .

Also, reviewers are experienced and much more critical than we are when determining if picture quality is at it should be, or expected to be.

There are 'minimum requirements' for both audio and video specifications for the reviewers' setups.....

What films are you speaking of by the way?

Well, U-571 would come to mind. I find its picture average but the reviewer found it very detailed and gave a 4.5.

On a smaller screen, even a DVD is not that bad.

The reviewing setup should be included in every review, imho.

Most of them have it listed in their profile I believe....... but either way, as I said, they all have very capable systems, so the equipment isn't a concern.....

Subjectivity, and sometimes even human error all play a role..... I'd just post your own user reviews to contribute.
