Default CES 2011 News???

Where is the best place to follow the CES news? I see that cnet seems to have a lot of videos, but do they really cover all of the various press conferences?

I'm mostly interested in watching the Panasonic press conference streamed live. Does anybody know where I would be able to see that?

Cnet has everything you need. You can read the live Panasonic Press Conference they had earlier in the day on cnet.

There is an update like every couple of minutes at CNET on their blog.

When is the Sony Press Confrence?

It was yesterday. I can't find the video on cnet, but this is the video of the live press conference.

Did they demo their 152" plasma TV?

They didn't demo anything. It was horrible.

Yeah, I hear you, but I am nowhere near interested in glassesless 3D. I don't want to lose the picture when I sneeze. LOL

I think the industry is really saying, "Glassesless 3D won't be here for another few years and, even then, the viewing angles will be very limited. For the highest quality 3D, you need active shutter frame glasses."

I'm at CES (writing this from my hotel room). I had a chance to check out the glassless 3D demos from Panasonic, Sony and Toshiba. Sony's is actually quite impressive. It is surprisingly clear, but not as clear as the 3DTVs that require glasses. It also isn't great at angles. Toshiba and Panasonic...should be embarrassed! Toshiba especially. Their glassless 3DTVs look like lenticular 3D - the kind you see on postcards or even some Blu-ray slip covers complete with what looks like interlaced stair-stepping. The edges of the tv are completely blurry - a real mess. None are ready for prime time. I would say we are still a few years away until glassless can compete with current 3DTVs.

A friend just PM'd me that he's heading there tomorrow to demo some high-end speakers, so I asked IF he's allowed, to take some

Yeah, I found the link posted in another thread but thanks for posting it.

Looks like everything is going 3D now, even photos.
