Concern for Toy Story movies at Toys R Us... - Blu-ray Forum

I have a concern... Toys R Us is NOTORIOUS (happened with Snow White) to only carry the DVD sized packaging of the movie, NOT the blu-ray sized. To some of you it won't matter, but to me, its a big deal for my collection; Does anyone know for sure that Toys R Us will carry the Blu-ray sized version?

Buy them at Target for $20 ($30 when you buy them together - $5 each with the coupons) and save yourself the sleepless nights.

Actually, Target Price is $22.99 for each (-$10 when you buy both) - $20 (2 disney club coupons) gives you $15.98

If they come with DVD packaging I'll be requesting a refund for my preorders! The only prob is I got Cars for 4.99 when I preordered the two TS blu's.

My Toys R Us had Snow White in Blu-ray packaging when I got it. Also, on the Toy Story pre-order sheet, it gives you the option of Blu-ray or DVD packaging, and I had them scan the Blu-ray. So, I think that should guarantee it?

Oh.. don't forget the movie cash in each one for Toy Story 3, so at $16 for both they are basically either giving the movies away or tickets to TS3.. pick your perspective

i would assume they wouldn't give you the option to choose which package version you want if they were not going to have both. i pre-ordered the blu-ray packaging and if they don't have it, I'll get a refund...at least I already got my extra $15 a disney movie for pre-ordering both.

It should, but... Makes no sence to hav two different types of packaging IMO!

I don't know TRU will even issue refunds if people got the 15 bones off the Disney blu. They will see people got a Disney blu for like 4.99 (like I got Cars for) when they did the preorder.

Actually you just have to make sure they give you the right one. I got snow white from TRU on release and got the correct case.

I pre-ordered a specific item, they have different UPC's...if they don't have the one I purchased that's their problem, not mine.

I don't even need to pick it up, my total came to $0...so worse case scenario is I buy it elsewhere, forget I have a "pre-order" at TRU and the only person that loses is them, for letting me walk out the store with a movie while paying them nothing.

Actually, they carried both. That's where I bought mineI'll also be buying both Toy Story 1 and 2 from Toys R Us as well.

Let's say there are no blu-ray cases. If we "reserved" them, that means they should guarantee have them in for us right? If not, then they should allow us to return our pre-orders? I can't really think of anything they could do for us for not having them in after we reserved these.

unless I'm missing something, both toy story 1 & 2 were in blu-ray packaging in that video.

like i had mentioned, they have separate UPC's, if you pre-ordered the blu-ray packaging you should get the blu-ray packaging...they can't force you to take what you didn't order.
