Default Marley & Me Sequel (spoilers for first movie inside)

I hope this is direct to video. I saw the trailer last night when I popped in Fantastic Mr. Fox.

No zombie dog FTL.

I hope they don't make 5 movies about dog's dying each time.

What happens? They get a "Nephew" dog of Marley..... no wait..... a "Niece" that would cause for COMPLETELY different high-jenks, and a totally different dynamic

Yeah.... I hope they actually do dig him up...... it would be a story about a guy who lovingly takes his decaying dog on the bus, as he slips into psychosis.

EDIT:

Seriously though.... based on the promo..... what is the basis of the plot?

From what I could gather it's mostly going to be a puppy. But then a two year old, the trailer mentioned the title focusing on the terrible 2's, would be a rather big dog.

I don't remember them breeding Marley.

I see nothing on IMDB or Wikipedia that suggests this film exists.
The author did write a sequel to the book titled THE LONGEST TRIP HOME, but there is no notice of this being made into a film either.

Don't understand why they would make a sequel. Not unless Marley comes back to life.

It does exist. There is a trailer for it before The Fantastic Mr. Fox on the Blu-ray.

This will be like the "Beethoven" films all over again.

Really? I didn't see this as being a film that needs a sequel.

A Marley & Me sequel? Sweet Niblets! You've got to be kidding me. What happens, he comes back to life ala Night Of The Living Dead, or do they get a new puppy? Anyway you slice it, the idea is just a way for Fox to try and cash in on more Marley bucks.

I love that movie. It ridiculous that they would make a sequel. I mean wasn't the book like autobiographical about the guy and his dog in real life.

Yes it was autobiographical and if you haven't read the book and only seen the movie l still recommend it as there are parts of it they didn't include in the film.

I agree. The first one was well done, but leave it alone.

Straight to video sequels, GOTTA LOVE 'EM! It's the film industry's way of saying; "We want your money, but we're gonna half ass it!"
