hey all,
just got back from a Movie Gallery location in Vernon CT. guess theyre all going under so everything - dvds blus games - are on sale 40% off
i ended up with:
the edge of love
gone baby gone
redbelt
avp
avp requiem
before the devil knows your dead
state of play
sexdrive
pandorium
haloween 2 (rob zombie version)
miracle at st anna
dark void (ps3)
mini ninjas (ps3)

all for 135... not a bad haul

they also just got in a shipment from other locations that is 6000 more dvds blus and games. said theyll be on shelves by next week. ill be going again next wed =)

I just got "It might get loud" and "21" for $7 each at my local MG which is going out of business!

hit up a second location and got another copy of "it might get loud" along with "body of lies", "superbad" and a copy of Army of Two 40th day for $25

got one more location to hit up today at lunch

Too bad for Movie Gallery. There used to be one here in Madison, but it closed about a year and a half or so ago, business has been rough for them for quite awhile.

The one in Princeton, WV is going out of business too. Noticed it yesterday while I was out. Stopped in and only 2 shelf sections of Blu, but I attribute that to the backwoods area of VA / WV that I live in more than anything. All Blu were $7.98. Picked up Wanted, The Spirit and Let the Right One In. Was sad that they didn't come in Blu cases, just a regular DVD case...however, they did include the Blu artwork slipped into the case, so I just picked up a few Blu cases on Ebay and once they arrive, I'll be set.

I considered picking up The Spirit at Blockbuster over the weekend for $6.99, but can't see myself watching it too often. I found it tough to watch the one time for some reason.

The Movie Gallery here has lowered all blus to $5.

Walked out a while ago with Let the Right One In, Resident Evil Extinction, Hostel Part II and Rock N Rolla for $21 and some change.

Every time I go into my Movie Gallery, Blu prices are cheaper. Went in the other day and got Hellboy II and Get Smart at $5.98 a piece, then went in today, and got Tropic Thunder, It Might Get Loud, Speed Racer, RockNRolla and X-Files: I Want to Believe for $3.98 a piece. $4 Blus are hard to turn down.

I agree. I'm even considering The Spirit at that price. As well as a few others. $4 is cheaper than a rental. The manager at my local store said that if I purchase a bunch of them he'll give me a deal on them as well, like $4 isn't a deal already.
