Poor film. Love Carpenter but even he has gone on record as saying its one of his least favourite films he has made. I own his best films and thats all I need to own

Nice. Regardless of what Carpenter says, this is -- for me anyway -- one of the only watchable films he made from the later stage of his career. It's much better than GHOSTS OF MARS and ESCAPE FROM LA. Also has one of Christopher Reeve's better performances -- and it was a shame because he became paralyzed right after its opening day I believe...could have even been that weekend.

Loved the original Village of the Damned and hated the remake. Probably I will check this out still as it's been over 20 years since I saw this.

I found picture and audio quality quite pleasing. Can't say anything bad about it. Extras are just the trailer and a gallery of advertising material.
German and English subtitles are provided. The same goes for the audio. Both tracks in DTS-HD MA 5.1.

Do you know why this one is so much more expensive than other Koch Blu's? It's been 17 EUR and up at Amazon. Not in the usual 12-14 EUR range.

It is sold by Amazon.de themselves. You need to click new and scroll down the list. Some of the resellers with stock shipped by Amazon are cheaper and its one of those listed on the front page.

There is a known bug in the Amazon IT which means if they are selling a title but go out of stock one of the resellers takes over as owning the product listing page and becoming the default seller. Even if Amazon later restock as in this case they don't retake ownership of the product listing and can only be seen by viewing all the new sellers and scrolling through the list.

Does anyone know if the German release is cut/edited in any way? I know a lot of their horror releases get tinkered with for silly reasons. I'm thinking of ordering this, but don't want to if it's been cut in any way.
