DVDI also puts out the DVE disc (front page), so Oct 30 is shaping up to be a big day for them.

And, of course, there is that little title Spiderman 3 coming out on the same day.

HD DVD sales are pure gravy for them, with little to no up-front cost. Universal is not a strategic player right now. It's pure tactics.

I'm aware of the releases being old news, I posted a reply about it when blu-ray.com originally broke the news on July 17th (see link below). This topic was meant to be just a heads-up that we have a $6.95 Blu-ray disc coming.

That's a sampler disc though. Perfect for BestBuy guys here (give me 50% discount!) but not much help for the rest of us.

Those travelogue series would look great. I still am amazed at one with the master glassblower...
