I've never got the point of light beer and I generally don't like the bland taste they often have imo.

I think the point is that a 30-pack case of light beer often costs around $20.

Sam Adams makes a pretty good light beer, and I've always been a big fan of Amstel Light.

Guess it just depends on the person. I have always liked light beer over regular. Bud Light has always been my favorite domestic beer.

Typically the only other beer I drink is Corona.

Not a light beer drinker either. I find it loses much to much flavour. Also, and please don't take this as a slap in the face to my many wonderful U.S. friends here, I don't particularly care for commercial U.S. beers. When in the States I always drink the local micro-brews.

I will say that a beer in the Corona style lends itself well as a light alternative with a refreshing taste on a hot summer's day..
