I dreamed that I was hiding and running from Godzilla in a somewhat ruined city for 14 months. (Which is actually how long I've been in my mother's living room.) At one point I fled in a taxi and told someone that we should switch to a faster taxi. I was vaguely aware that the yellow makes us stand out more from above. Finally I came out the other side of a store, where the city was at peace, and bragged to people standing around that I was with the monster for 14 months. There might have been reporters. People on the outside barely seemed to know what was going on in the Godzilla zone.

I was invited to Katsuhiro Otomo's apartment to privately view a thirty second (maybe longer) black and white animation of Akira mostly not used in the movie. Stationary shot, but gradually zooms out as Tetsuo connects himself to machinery and grows into a giant abomination with body still same size but so much having grown out of it and attaching to environment. Ends with bright light and papers getting blown at camera, kind of like the end of the Akira movie, which imitated the 2001: A Space Odyssey trip sequence. Animation was double speed, but can't tell if animation was really sped up or if I as the dreamer seeing the dream sped it up. Sped up probably because Crazy Taxi was 2x speed when trying it in Redream emulator before going to sleep. Otomo had trouble getting his bike down the outer stairwell to his apartment. Brother and I came back up to help him. His neighborhood was dense and green, felt moist, like it had rained or drizzled. Neighbor woman passed silently, might have been white but probably Japanese.

I don't even know what Otomo looks like, yet I had a dream about him. Maybe the animation was black and white not only because it was unfinished, but also because I've been reading manga. For part of the animation, there was, weirdly, a big audience present. Like I was not in Otomo's apartment anymore.

Black and white James Stewart angry at his kids over dinner because they talked about exterminating beetles. He told them to teach them how to find food like humans but leave them alone. Because I've been playing Psychonauts 2 lately, Stewart began to have gigantic rectangular toon eyes. Kept becoming bigger and bigger. The eyes receded and as my view moved upwards I could kind of see them looking around from inside his head. A brother of mine (I don't know which of the two.) laughed. I started laughing too. I laughed again when I woke up.

Made this circle around a section of a city in some kind of roofless car to flee a (post-apocalyptic?) gang on wheels. They were on the other side of a river now (still in the city), having to come in the opposite direction before they could get behind me again. I thought I was clear, but up ahead was a police car. Even if I slowed down, he was going to arrest me, because I was underage. So I kept driving. He pursued. The cop was a younger Mel Gibson. The road warrior. Or was it Max from the original movie? He threw shuriken (ninja stars) at me as he pursued in his police car. Like twenty of them. I kept looking over my shoulder and dodging with my body as the shuriken flew, which slowed my vehicle down so much that he was able to pick them from the street and throw them again. I didn't understand what I had done that made him have to kill me. I woke up, not as scared as from my last nightmare, but still scared.

I had nightmares about Chucky as a kid. Don’t really remember them though. One where he was sitting on a shelf and I couldn’t leave the room.

I’ve had various dreams about Ghostbusters. Before Afterlife I had dreams that a GB3 was coming out or I was going to the theater to see it but they ended up as low budget movies for some reason and nothing much happens.

One turned it into a TV series but it was low budget so they didn’t really use the proton packs. Just boring walking around looking for ghosts in uniform.

One was a behind the scenes dream. I got to see props being made and where they were gonna shoot scenes but that was it.

One was a bigger scale movie but nothing really happens. It was building up to a fight at night but not like the first movie. Something else. I wanna say there was lights like Las Vegas. I think this was before Frozen Empire.

One where I was riding in the Ecto1 with Ray and Egon but we were going to a set. It started out in some underground warehouse but that’s it.

I had a Jurassic Park dream. I went to see the latest movie (this was before Rebirth it was just a nameless sequel) and it was like half ride and half movie.

As far as I know, I've never had a movie-related dream. Usually, it's dreams about school (and I graduated in 1991) or a job at a drug store I had in my early 20s.

I wish my dreams had to do with movies. It would be a nice change.

When I was younger, I dreamed King Triton from "The Little Mermaid" (1989) was telling me to do something. I don't remember what, though.

But that dream is rare for me. I don't remember most of my dreams, and the dreams that I do remember are usually boring dreams.

I don't think I ever dreamed about movies. I sometimes dream about video rental places from back in the day, which is kind of movie related.
