Hello all,
I have a pinnacle sub sonix 200watt sub. I may add anothe one soon. Though i may look into the BIC f12 or the V1220. My room is 9x12x24, 8ft ceilings. I have a Yamaha rx700 reciever. So my question is which is the better of the 3? I heard 2 subs make a difference so this is what i may do; add 2 of either... or use just one BIC alone...sounds confusing yes... thx |

![]() callas01 is right; it's always best to match your subs. That makes integrating them easier and far more seamless. Is the sub sonix you have now still available? If so, that would be the least expensive way to go. |

Overkill? I tend to doubt it. Your room is over 2500 CF, which is a pretty good amount of space to fill. If anything, you'll probably wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

The V1220 and F-12 are comparable except for the following differences: 1. V1220 is down-firing, while the F-12 is front-firing 2. F-12 has magnetic shielding 3. F-12 has a longer warranty (5 years on both driver and amp) Both the V1220 and F-12 will likely offer more bass than the Sub Sonix because of the bigger driver (12" vs. 10") and lower low frequency (F-12: 25 Hz; V1220: 23 Hz; SubSonix: 33 Hz). However, since you already have the SubSonix, you probably are better off getting a matching one (as the others have stated) for ease of calibrating. |

Just an FYI though... shopblt.com has the F-12 for $190.84 (free shipping) and boatersworld.com has the V1220 for $166.94 (free shipping). |

If you're happy with the current amount of bass that you get from the SubSonix, but are looking to fill up the room/even it out, then get another one. http://www.audioholics.com/tweaks/ge...-bass/two-subs If you want more thump, then you're only going to get that by getting a different sub. |
