How does the LG 50PK750 compare to the Pana G20? - Blu-ray Forum

Question is in the title. I think I have made up my mind about getting a plasma over an LCD and I am continuing to do some research into various TVs'. Now I have read tons of great things about the Panasonic G20. Granted there are not too many places in Canada that I can pick one of these guys up but there is a store here in London Mostly Digital that carries it for just under 2k.

Now I don't want to settle for something less that I will regret later but I came across the LG PK750 which as far as I can tell has got decent reviews as well plus would save some coin.

Am I missing something? How does the new LG stack up?

I did a lot of research and reading on Plsma tv's and I would suggest to you to go with the G20, for the simple reason that you will have less problems with the G20 than LG. In two reviews of the LG they said that they still have the IR problem which they had with the 2009 model even if it's a bit better.

I'm going out to buy a G20 this week=end 54 inches I suggest you do the same.

I was mostly leaning towards the G20 anyways, but I have read some good things about the 550 and 750.

Still I think ultimately I would still go with the G20 though.

Just wish I could get it for the same price as they sell for the states. Doesn't seem fair. And give the whole Warrenty/Duty/Taxes thing at the border the different isn't enough for me to make it worth it.
