Canada After The Sunset (Alliance)

Yes, the Evil Alliance!

I love this movie so it deserves its own thread for the Blu-ray. Not just because it's a great movie but so people will know whether they should invest.

Sadly, alliance got their foot in the door and released it.

Firstly, 14GB. since we know alliance only release single layer discs and rarely have any extras, why has 10Gb of this disc gone unused ? they couldn't have been leaving space for the extras. i'm fascinated to know the story. especially since this disc has some pretty bad compression in places.

Secondly, the colors. where are they ? they've all gone. i'm gutted. everything just looks really dull and lifeless. yes, there are colors but the pop has gone. given the locale (somewhere hot and tropical), it made sense that this film would had such an extreme color palette. but not on this disc. i can't say whether this disc is accurate or whether the HD broadcast from all those years ago was, but i'm certainly not a fan of this look. why would the filmmakers mute the colors on a film like this ? i have to wonder if the transfers at fault. who knows. not me.
Thanks to AndyMT.

Anyone else have it? Same opinion?
