Red face Okay, okay, I was hasty about Blu-ray sucking....
The first time I played a DVD on my nearly 15 year old 13" Panasonic (at the time) through the coax, I couldn't believe it was the same tv because it looked so great. Now that I compared Monster House DVD to blu-ray, regular DVD looks like VHS!

Test beds:
Monster House DVD on 3:4 13" TV via coax @ 480i - to
Monster House DVD on 16:9 34" HD-TV via component @ 1080i -
Monster House blu-ray on 16:9 34" HD-TV via component @ 1080i -

I am a "blu-blood" snob now. I still do not like most of the titles, though.
