Hi all.

Does anyone have any information on either of these releases? How is the PQ/AQ? Are there any reviews available?

I've watched the first season of the Canadian releases. PQ is outstanding (it was filmed using HD cameras). AQ is also Dolby TrueHD, and was decent as well.

Haven't seen the second season yet, but imagine it's very similar as it was released at the same time.

the PQ is impressive in both seasons ,i have the mexican release that is the same of the Canadian/Uk release.

If the first season of the Canadian release has TrueHD then it can't be exactly the same, as the UK release has LPCM.

The Tudors was shot using HD cameras so the look is a bit different and you get some digital noise instead of film grain, but overall it is very nice, and very detailed. Of course that's judging by the UK release which is from Sony, one of the best, so I don't know how much you can infer from that regarding the Canadian release.

So did we ever find out if the Canadian "uncut" editions contain extra footage than the English editions of Season 1 and 2?

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the Canadian ones are the same length as the English ones.

I believe what was on CBC is the same thing that was on BBC. It was change a little for the Showtime broadcast not to offend our dear American viewers

What is the difference between the Canadian/English cut and the American cut?

My understanding is that the "uncut" moniker actually refers to the Canadian broadcast version, which was altered slightly from the uncensored BBC/Showtime airings. The Canadian Blu-rays really need someone to publish the BDInfo scans for them, to compare against the stellar BDs from the UK.
