Format of the Screen

Are the BluRay versions wide screen or full screen.

Most of them are in Original aspect ratio which is usually wide screen. That way you can see the whole picture

Unlike regular dvd's where you have a choice?

Should be unless it is released in Canada by Alliance they release The Blade films in 1:78:1 and Se7en among others, releasing films not in there OAR should be 1 deadly sin for Blu ray releasing newer films without lossless should be another.

Most of the time movies will be in their OAR on Blu-ray or at least almost but there are some fullscreen(4:3) releases available but that's because that is the OAR. But yes for the most part movies on Blu-ray are widescreen and in their OAR.
