Oh I think I shall be reading LOTS of reviews before deciding to buy, after COF. No chance of a pre-order!

Sadly, that'll be my approach on every Hammer title from here on out as well.

Since it's from Lionsgate it means it wont have a slipcover like the other Hammer films from Studio Canal does. How about creating some consistency guys!

Also, DO NOT PRE-ORDER THIS. There's most probably something wrong with it! Better wait until reviews are out...

The crown jewel gets released.... finally!

I also reckon it will have the added scenes from Japanese print.

An odd time of year to release what might be the most important Hammer film. I would have thought a time near Halloween as a better choice.

Why would you expect two completely different distributors to use the same/similar packaging? Surely its up to the dvd label to choose how to package their product, hammer just license their restorations out(unless of course studio canal own their hammer titles) so I don't think they (hammer) have much of a say in how they are packaged

I have dropped pre-ordering any of the Hammer releases after their numerous blunders. I really hope they do this one justice and have sorted out their QC, but I am not holding my breath.

Yep, I will be waiting to hear word on this too. The Hammer films I own on BD are Quatermass & The Pit, Plague of The Zombies and Vampire Circus, which at least had solid non-buggy audio-video presentations. I would have loved to own Curse of Frankenstein if they hadn't buggered it.

I'll definitely wait for a price drop or reviews to pop up. Hammer is very hit or miss these days.

Also, looks like i'll have to remove the slipcovers to keep the Hammer films uniform... -_-

You mean you didn't notice the dropped line of dialogue in VAMPIRE CIRCUS? Yup...it's there. The video of the German disc is better than the US one, too -- at least for my tastes.

Why? Just because it's a horror movie? One could argue it should rightfully be released in May or June, since that's when it was originally theatrically released in the US and UK...

I've pre-ordered this in case there's a price drop I miss, but I will be proceeding with extreme caution...
