Banana Plugs Recommendation for Def Tech Speakers

Can someone recommend high quality Banana Plugs for my Def Tech Mythos? The Monster Plugs are like way expensive and was wondering if anyone knows of some really nice ones that are not as exspensive. Thanks!

I got mine, along with a lot of other members, from Monoprice. These are $1.91 for each pair if you get 10 or 14 pairs (10 pairs for 5 channels and 14 for 7 channels, although you may not have the room behind your surrounds if they are wall mounted for a banana plug).

Sometimes Monoprice puts these on sale for less than $1 for the pair, but even at $1.91, it is a good price, and the closed screw type I linked you to are built nicely and do a very good job IMO.

I have no experience with any banana plugs, but I looked into getting some and was always partial to the look of the GLS Audio plugs.

Edit: Which I should add can be had for much cheaper on ebay. Not cheaper than monoprice, just cheaper than the online store linked.

I prefer the Closed Screw Type, which is what I have but they all work great so......we win

It says it can fit wires up to 4mm - is that enough for a 12 gauge speaker wire?

i prefer the same but at 98 cents a pair (at the time when i bought from monoprice) for the open screw type, i wasnt going to complain. besides, ill only look at them every once in a while.

12 gauge wire has a diameter of 2.053 mm (wire only) so it should fit.

I use 12 gauge and 10 gaue wires with them. All you need is a very small screwdriver.
