Is this really a U.S. release? I thought MGM had the rights in the U.S.?

It says Region A on the release. Maybe MGM licensed it from Studio Canal? I know Studio Canal just "took back" a bunch of releases from Criterion, so maybe they are taking this back from MGM.

The listing is for France. I just changed the region-info (system error).

At the moment, there are no plans for a U.S. release of the film.

That's a bummer. This is one of the best werewolf movies ever made.

Howling slated for 11 May but it's now 29 Apr and the title is not showing up on amazon.com, amazon.ca or a few major retailers I've checked.

Ditto for StudioCanal/Lionsgate Red Sonja.

Have these been delayed?

It's available, but as said a few posts over, there's no US release. You can get Howling from France or Germany. Red Sonja is also available in these countries from Studio Canal.

Apparently it looks quite good, but it's region locked to B with no extras.

Thanks kosvines and DetroitSportsFan for the clarification. Bummer The Howling is not coming in NA. Hopefully they will eventually release it in region 1 as sometimes happens for these titles.

Red Sonja surprises me though since there is a remake coming this summer IIRC ...

The German release has a feature called The Werewolf Effect which isn't great but it's something
