HotRats Blu-ray Ninja Member since:Mar 2009	The Maiku Hama Trilogy The Most Terrible Time In My Life (Waga Jinsei Saiaku No Toki), Stairway To The Distant Past (Harukana Jidai No Kaidan O) and The Trap (Wana) Kaizo Hayashi's hard boiled private eye/noir tribute/affectionate parody are brilliant and beautifully shot films, well written and acted. Hugely enjoyable and three of my favourite Japanese films. Sadly they are only available in a lousy DVD box set from Kino in soft and mushy non-anamorphic 2.35:1. Ideal material for Criterion
