Shane Carwin Vs. Brock Lesnar POSSIBLY JULY 3rd

So, who will win? This will possibly be the biggest UFC event to ever take place, until GSP bulks up to fight Silva.

Shane remains UNDEFEATED for his entire MMA career with none of his fights going past the first round. Will he be able to take out Lesnar? Will Lesnar be back at 100%?

I'm hoping for Carwin to take it. It will be a good match cause they are both fighters.

Brock is gonna annihilate this guy! They need to make Brock/Fedor happen. That would be the fight of the century. Probably will never happen though but I can wish! Got Em!!

what makes you say that? i can see them both annihilate each other because they are about equal in most ways. but i don't see anyone as being THAT heaviliy favored.

It's all going to depend on how much Brock has recovered. The word was that when he last fought Mir he was only at 60%.

The thing is though that when Mir caught Brock with a punch Brock went down. If he didn't land on Mir, Mir could have won. Brock ended up taking a rest and recovering right there on top.

Carwin is such a great aggressor though. He also has 5 submissions under him.

This is gonna be great.

No luck for Fedor CZAR. He will only agree if they do a joing venture promotional thing with his company and Dana White wouldn't agree. Dana offered him something like $5 million a fight and he still said no unless Dana would promote M-1. I think Dana went as far as allowing him to wear M-1 logos on his trunks.

Brock is an absolute beast and I think he over powers him and beats him like he stole sumthing. Just my feeling on the match! Got Em!!

As has been mentioned, it all comes down to how much Brock has recovered. Assuming he's recovered to a sufficient degree, I think he wins, although it's certainly not a landslide. Carwin hasn't had to rely on his wrestling as much as Lesnar has, and he's shown an incredible ability to finish his fights. He and Brock are very on par strength-wise. I think Brock uses his size a lot better and is more athletic in terms of speed and quickness. Carwin is a better puncher (much more natural) but both he and Carwin can end the fight with one punch. Carwin was able to take a great punch from Gonzaga and still recover. Lesnar took a decent shot from Mir.

I see Lesnar smothering Carwin on the ground, but it's really going to come down to who gets in the first good shot. That person will be the victor, because nobody can take too many of Carwin or Lesnar's punches and still be awake.

This is going to be one hell of a great but short fight lol. It could go either way, I am a Lesnar fan, but he's going to be coming off a year absence and a serious surgery. I hope Lesnar pulls off the win, but with Carwin it's not exactly like he's easy to get past. However I am looking forward to this fight as my most anticipated of the year, that is until the winner of this fight faces off with Cain Velasquez which DFW has already stated would be the first fight for the winner here, and that is going to be another insane and short fight.

I stopped watching UFC for awhile, and got back into it when I found out Lesnar arrived. Seeing that I was always a Lesnar fan back in his "WWF" days, I wanted to see how he did in MMA. So far so good lol. Don't know much about Carwin, but I know he beat down one of the best ufc heavyweights in Frank Mir.
I'd like to see Lesnar win. Isn't Fedor still contract with the other big MMA promotion, Affliction? or something like that. I think Dana White is just waiting for his contract to be up to bring him to UFC. Which won't be anytime soon cuz didn't Fedor sign another contract?

I'm goin for Carwin, but I think it'll be an awesome fight. Brock's gotta watch out for Carwin's shots and Carwin needs to be careful with Brock's speed and explosiveness.

Carwin is now 12-0 with his 3:48 fight against Mir being his longest lol. He is a straight cyborg and it's gonna be war come July 3rd. Affliction folded over a year ago, Fedor is in Strikeforce and the negotiations go back and forth with DFW and Fedor, but he's about to re-sign with Strikeforce even though there is nobody there for him to fight beyond Steroid Monkey Overeem, and Werdum.

Cracks me up that they list Carwin @ 6'5".....he is 6'1" maybe 6'2" at the most...Frank Mir is 6'3" and he had almost a good inch on him.

He was a Golden Gopher (i.e. he attended the University of Minnesota). I'm pretty sure he was never a Buckeye; even if he did, I would still root for Carwin.
