Default Project: Free the bay window!!!

So i thought moving to a house would rid me of all the limitations i had with my condo.....
https://forum.blu-ray.com/home-theat...do-winner.html

I was wrong... Apparently a nice 46 inch Samsung sitting on the bay window was not a good idea.. The lady hated it!!

my solution is as follows...

Regular Viewing

Theater Mode 1

Theater Mode 2

Custom Made Av Shelving - Standard home depot laminated shelves

Monoprice arm with custom extention

WOW! That room presents so many challenges! What you've accomplished is remarkable. The flat panel mounting is very unique. The projector mounting is creative. The lowboy credenza/stand, very accommodating. The retractable screen is positioned perfectly. Just an all out outstanding effort.

My only concern is the left front and it's ability to be all it can be, sonically, I mean.

Other than that, you are going to impress a lot of members with this setup. Bravo.

Default Thanks everyone

Took alot of time to plan this one.

That left speaker is hiding abit behind that sofa but the tweeter and mid are fully exposed. I honestly haven't heard a difference between the sofa being there and it not

First off, welcome to the HT Galleries!
What an incredible job of adapting your HT to available space! I love the swing out mount for the display and the screen for "movie time"
The way you worked out your equipment storage is a compliment to the rest of your system!
Great job all around

Very good work and quite inventive. I like the swing arm mount for the TV and the position you put it in. We all have room limitations, and although your room may of had more than most, you appear to have overcome quite a few of them.

Just a question, but you said you can't pick up on any sonic irregularities with the front left speaker tucked behind the couch...have you ever tried to raise it (along with the front right) a bit to see if your ears detect any improvement?

Kinda stuck now :S

With the tv arm swung open to the right, the tv sits 2 inchs above the speaker.
cant really change the placement now.

I think overtime the sofas migrated closer to the front abit. the little sofa has to be pulled back abit. that should help with sound.
