Default Mood Indigo (starring Audrey Tautou, directed by Michel Gondry)

This trailer made me smile. Very much looking forward to seeing this now.

This is my most anticipated movie this year. It has an amazing cast and a amazing director, reminded me a lot of ''Science of Sleep'' one of my favorite movies ever...

I like Ho Hey, but damn even the French are using it in their trailers.

I hope this is good for both Gondry and Tautou's sake. I adore them both, and I want them doing good stuff again.

Looks okay, it's a tad too Gondray-esque, with those strange bits of rather unfunny slapstick

What Audrey Tautou films have you guys seen and like?

I think all of these are good to great:

Amelie
A Very Long Engagement
Dirty Pretty Things
Therese Desqueyroux (saw it in September, outstanding performance)
Coco Before Chanel
Priceless
He Loves Me He Loves Me Not

Da Vinci Code has been the only stinker. Anything good I may have overlooked? I'm still trying to find a copy of Delicacy.

Hmmmmm....Tautou & Gondry are enough to get me to watch this. I'm debating on watching the trailer or just going into it blind.

Looks similar to Science of Sleep, but with the lovely Tautou.

Sold.

I absolutely loved Eternal Sunshine, wasn't overly impressed by either Science of Sleep or Be Kind, Rewind. Both were OK, scrappy little films but both were too ragged around the edge, bit too light, bit too messy for me. I enjoyed them but I never feel the need to watch them again. I understand why some people love them though.

This looks fantastic though. Romain Duris and Omar Sy as well? great cast. Some of the imagery in there is brilliant (the record spining/ice-skating moment). Looking forward to it.

Or the rather unflattering Green Hornet, which took Gondry from his indie roots and planted him firmly in Hollywood territory, all the while the studio heads whispering to him "but make sure you do that kooky thing you do in your movies...just make it more mainstream..."

What's left is just pretty damn bad.

Honestly you can probably give it a miss, there are only about two very Gondry-esque scenes and they feel very out of place.

I've also seen the following due to her:

Venus Beauty Institute

L'Auberge Espagnole (2002) (The Spanish Apartment)

Russian Dolls (2005) (Sequel to the Spanish Apartment)

She's only has a supporting role in them, but all are decent and glad I saw them.

Anyone have any news on a UK release for this? Can't seem to find one anywhere yet..

Really looking forward to it as it has 3 of my favourite French actors in Romain Duris, Gad Elhaleh and of course the stunning Audrey Tautou!

Chinese Puzzle is due out later this year. It's the third (and I assume) final film. Currently it has a December release date for France

There are two versions available in France https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=220409

I'd like one but neither have English subtitles and my poor GCSE French wouldn't be up to the job.
