Default re-watching a movie for the first time

If you could watch a movie(s) for the first time again, what would it be?

I would pick Up and the Dark Knight. Up, because I didn't really have an idea what I was walking into and the movie just was so much better than I expected or could have predicted. And the Dark Knight, because Heath Ledger performance went above and beyond expectations of such an iconic character.

Pulp Fiction - such an incredible film, I wish I could re-visit with a blank mind. Would be amazing to see the events unfold with no idea of which direction it's going to go.

Blade Runner - it would be worth paying to have my memory erased just to savour the atmosphere, the visuals, the performances, that all make it such a masterpiece.

Sucker Punch - I first watched it at my girlfriend's house on a rented DVD on a small TV. Needless to say, I wasn't too impressed and largely ignored the film in favour of going on the Internet. I wish I could watch it again, completely, in different circumstances and take all the little nuances and subtleties in.

I'd probably want to be a kid again and experience Jurassic Park for the first time. I was so amazed.

As for my adult self right now, I wish I could see Pulp Fiction for the first time.

Nick's got it, mine is Jurassic Park, too. However, i'd love to watch Braveheart and Gladiator for the first time, again. Pulp Fiction and 300, as well.

Se7en - The ending.

The Matrix - The campaign had me hooked. What is the Matrix?

The Dark Knight - Ledger's performance was a revelation. Simply awestruck.

And of course...

I would second a couple that have been mentioned...

The Game is great, but the first time watching will always be much better.

The end of Seven was amazing and although I've loved it every time, reliving the first time I saw it would be great.

Of course finding out that Vader is Luke's Father is unmatched

I don't know about watching again with a blank mind, but I wish I could watch some of the classics without knowing so much about them. So many classic films are defined by their best moments. These moments are now so ingrained in pop culture that, when we watch the classics nowadays, it's near impossible to get the experience that wowed audiences so much upon the initial release of the film.

You can still very much enjoy these moments and these films are great but yeah, the Vader revelation would have been simply incredible in 1980.

So far my favorite mention has been Die Hard.

There have been other good ones but I tend to overanalyze things to death and wonder if I saw Apocalypse Now for the first time if I would have to start my appreciation of it from scratch. If I saw Blade Runner for the first time which cut would I see? Would the mind-wiped adult me respond to that Star Destroyer filling the frame with all the awe and wonder the teen me did or would he be a little let down?

But Die Hard is a pretty simple, safe one (and that's not a knock on the movie). 99% of what there is to love about Die Hard is front and center in every scene. I could just sit back and let it rock and roll all over again.

And I wouldn't have visions of crappy sequels or Friends appearances or hit man movies that were like Friends appearances going through my head the whole time.

Yeah, I pick Die Hard.

Mine would be Color of money.Just remember being mesmerized by that movie first time. And I would watch it on the big screen, and not on a crappy television.

Not sure if I would do a full erase on many movies since as one goes through lifes phases, ones appreciation and experiences differ. But there are a few.

I wish I could be 9 years old again sitting in the theater in June 1977 and see Star Wars for the first time. At least in a way that little 9 years old boy is still inside me.
