Since ive never asked and never figured out a definitive answer on my own im asking once and for all if this is the case:

I bought a 60gb PS3 February of 2007, i signed up with the PSN Name Xerios.... since i was younger n foolish back then i shared with neighbors and friends (fine i accept that) im shared out...

I bought a 120gb Slim in November of 2009, i used my Xerios PSN credentials and of course when i went to the store to download my games onto my new hard drive it said piss off youre tapped out... So i created Jok3rsPanda, an account i never use to play games i just use 2 buy new games on the slim, once i buy them on the slim i install them and play under Xerios so i can get the trophies under my name.. i share Jok3rsPanda with Xerios basically....

since my 60gb is dying (loud fan, excessive freezes) if i Deactivate the Xerios account, and format the hard drive, will i be able to use the Xerios account to download again on my slim...

ill explain more if thats too confusing but i think i got the question out..

Yes as you deactivated your account.

so if i deactivate the 60gb and i go to play a game i downloaded, what happens? it says no this ps3 is not for gaming u deactivated it?

Yeah, you cannot play the games that was downloaded with the deactivated account on that machine in which it was deactivated from.

so ill backup what saves i can (no need for a full backup since im not restoring) ill rip out the 320gig hard drive from the 60, throw it in the slim take the slims 120 and sell it, and put the original 60gb back in the 60gb and use it as a bluray player only
