Didn't season 1 come out the same day as Captain America TWS last year. So maybe we can expect Avengers AOU that day this year.

If they stick to the 18th (weird for a Friday), my wallet is in agony. Arrow and Flash are four days later on the 22nd.

Not weird for a Friday if a certain title with the word Ultron in it comes out the same day. Based upon this release, I'd also expect the third season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to debut the night of September 22nd.

I wouldn't expect the first season of Daredevil on Blu-ray until closer to the second season is launched on Netflix in Q1/Q2 2016 or it'll probably be paired with the Blu-ray release of Ant-Man.

Season 2 was pretty interesting. Ended with a decent cliff-hanger. Unfortunate though the Joss Whedon states Coulson is dead in the movie universe. Kind of makes the point of the series moot. If they now take TV show characters and work them into the films it will just get even stranger.

Hope the episodes won't have the "previously on" front bumpers again. They make sense on a weekly TV show but are not needed on home video.

Figures since I just got through half of the season on Netflix. Well, I'll put it on my Xmas list since I have no reason to rewatch the season that soon.

Joss Whedon never said that, it was a misunderstanding. He said he thought that bringing up the fact that Coulson is still alive would be too much for this already packed movie. So the Avengers still think he is dead, but he is alive in the movie universe as well.

And the previouslies on DVD/Blu-ray have as much haters as they have people who say they belong to the episodes and shouldn't be cut. It's fine by me as long as there is a chapter mark at the end of it.

Nice to see that ABC/Disney still has good manners and is releasing Shield S2 and Carter S1 on Blu-ray - unlike Warner and Fox

It's so strange that people have taken Whedon's quote to mean that Coulson literally isn't alive, as opposed to the characters in the movies just not knowing it, I've seen it in several places and it's weird because there are direct references between AoS and the MCU, so that interpretation's already proven to be not correct.

I wonder what the cover art will look like; I have to admit that the cover for the first season was what pushed me over the edge into buying it territory, since I wasn't that enamoured with the show. I just love the SHIELD logo.

S2 was fantastic. I am so looking forward picking This up on Blu together with Carter. Now we just need release dates for Avengers AoU 3D and Daredevil S1

SHIELD returns for season three on September 29, 2015, so seven days later. Getting Ultron at the same time though? Oh, my wallet. I mean seriously, that's five blu-rays - FIVE - in five days. Gonna sting quite a bit.

As to Daredevil, I'd agree except there is the debut of Jessica Jones this fall to promote. You could then return the favor with blu-ray release of Jessica Jones to lead into Daredevil S2 and Luke Cage next spring.
