Watched it few times by now.
It must be recognized as a quintissential cornerstone bollywood filmmaking defining the so called 1990 era (1988-1996). The bachchan bad years directly resulted in bollywoods desperate attempt to look for the next superstars to keep the engine running and wheels in motion. Hence, non-khans early 90s romance movies get less credit than then they deserved. AASHIQUI starring unknown newcomers along with QSQT, CHANDNI had probably the most influence on 90s khan era movies which heavily borrowed in laying down musical tracks structure, lyrics writing and cinematography. AASHIQUI gets the least credit compared to QSQT and I am glad T-series brought this out on BluRay. Much respect. Last edited by Hindustani; 01-27-2016 at 08:42 PM. |
