Default You know, one thing I'm happy about with PS3's exclusive fall/winter lineup...

Is that there's a lot of balance in the line up. There's not a huge emphasis on one genre.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune: An action, platform, puzzle type of game.

LAIR: An epic aerial and ground combat game atop a huge dragon.

Heavenly Sword: 3rd person, epic, story driven action game.

Haze: New IP first person shooter.

Ratchet and Clank: Action/Platforming.

Little Big Planet: Action/Platform/Puzzle/Creative game.

Echochrome: Puzzle.

Warhawk: Aerial and ground combat mmo game.

Folklore: An action/rpg game.

Unreal Tournament 3: first person shooter.

Gran Turismo Prologue: Racing Simulator

Wipeout HD Futuristic Hover Racing

To me, that is a very balanced, very solid lineup for the holidays! I would've liked to see a couple of RPG's and maybe a survival horror game. Otherwise I'd say there's something there for everyone!

Supposedly Haze is changing from timed-exclusive to full exclusive pending sales of PS3s over Xmas.

Is the 360 even powerful enough to run a port of Haze without the game being severely hamstrung? And can it even fit onto a DVD-9?

thats what im thinking too. ubisoft probably went to MS and said listen this is how the game is going to look on the ps3, this is how the game is going to look on the 360, what do you want to do? MS saw a huge difference and didn't want to be embarassed, so they said blame exclusivity on something else, like rising ps3 sales.

I don't think it is anything technical at fault with the X360. Just that they don't fancy competing with Halo 3.

The sales of Haze on the X360 won't be that great after Halo 3 is released, I think the sales of all games are going to go down once Halo 3 is out. Most people I know bought the X360 as a Halo machine, once it comes out, I think a lot of gamers are going to stop buying games and just play the shit out of Halo 3.

its not the specs of the machine, its dvd9. look at the 360 games they are either pretty, with short or bad gameplay or long/goodgameplay with bad graphics. halo 3 will be focusing a lot on online, which doesn't take up a whole lot of disc space, thatlly be its saving grace, but camapaign won't be hot. Trust me you will never see a game on the 360 unless its multiple discs that is long, drawn out, good gameplay, and pretty graphics (gt5, mgsiv, drakes fortune, etc.) it can't fit on the disc.

Nothing wrong with the Xbox 360? Tell that to my friends who've had theirs stop working and had to be without it while Microsoft took 3 months to replace it. Mine displayed the red ring of death last night. I got it to work after turning it on and off a few times, but my friend said that this is how his started to malfunction before breaking entirely.
Microsoft changed their warranty to three years do you think they would've done this if the machines didn't have an inherent design flaw?

I think the only game the 360 has going for it this Christmas is Halo 3. Other than that one game I have yet to see anything that compares to the PS3 line-up.

hey guys, don't forget about Home! http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread...96&start=0#end mass effect got a disappointing review too. oh no! i thought this game looked way overhyped and that there was no way in hell they could do 100s of planets with the graphics they kept showing off and claiming how great gameplay would be all in 7 GBs, Bioshock needed to put this on a blu-ray disc!!!! so if mass effect aint hot, its all in the hands of halo 3 as blue dragon and bioshock are already out.

The xbox will always be extremely shooter-heavy. Their top exlusives are all shooters. That being said, I can see the PS3 having a very strong shooter lineup to match.

I definitely see the playstation3 having a more balanced lineup. Ive pre-ordered Heavenly Sword and Warhawk, and ill definitely get Folklore and gran turismo too.

On my maybe list would be Lair and maybe little big planet.

Has anyone heard ANYTHING about FF13? I know its wishful thinking, but that would massively boost sales of the PS3.

oh yeah, a bunch of PSN titles I am looking forward too, especially the PixelJunk stuff * Everyday shooter

Only 360 exclusive I am looking forward to is the Naruto game. Naruto fans will buy it, but they arent exactly record selling games.
