My wife and I just finished watching this on DVD, and I must say I would love to see this restored in 1080p. Any other takers? The beauty of the musical numbers alone would make it a worthy purchase in my opinion.

Go ahead and check out the sticky thread "Musicals we want on Blu-Ray" - there you will discover Funny Girl and many other movie musicals are discussed frequently. You are not alone. We miss our musicals not being released onto Blu as often as we would like.

If you both like musicals and are interested South Pacific and The Music Man are two of the finest film restorations released on Blu-Ray. Take note that The Sound of Music and The Rocky Horror Picture Show along with Moulin Rouge are to be released later this year (2010).

And Oklahoma! is being prepared as well.
