I don´t get it. People say that Fox has always been Blu-ray exclusive but haven´t they released films on HD-DVD, such as X-Men: The Last Stand? How can you say that Fox is blu-ray exclusive when they release films on HD-DVD? Also I see nothing in that press release that explicitly states that Fox will be releasing those new titles this year only on Blu-Ray.
Where is hard evidence that Fox is, was, or will be totally Blu-ray exclusive? |

1. No they haven't released Xmen on hd-dvd. 2. We can say they are exclusive because they have never released hd-dvd and continually emphasize their blu-ray exclusivity. I am confused, are you scared that they are not? |

That news was in direct response to Paramount's boner move. |

People always claim that because Fox stopped releasing BRs for a while that they were going neutral or switching to HDDVD.
The reason they stopped is because they were waiting for BD+, and now that its been out for a few months they're ready to release more movies. Considering how important BD+ is to them, it makes absolutely no sense for Fox to switch to HDDVD when HDDVD has no protection whatsoever!! (Ok they technically do, but it was cracked ages ago) you can count on Fox and Sony sticking to BR no matter what. |

Seems like I´m wrong. I thought I saw X-men for HD-DVD somewhere, and I thought I read that Fox was releasing only HD-DVD until the new BD-J format was approved. Guess I was wrong.
Nice to see they´ll be releasing some bona fide classics for Blu-Ray. I´ve been wanting HD Robocop since the beginning. Edit: Does the new BD+ mean that Fox Blurays will have moving video in chapter menus? |

Fox is the major backer of BD+ which is used to prevent piracy. It only affect security and has no affect on interactivity.
The unofficial reason they delayed releasing titles after the first few was to wait for BD+ to be finished. Now that it is, they are releasing again. They are Blu-ray exclusive because HD-DVD does not provide any security. |
