United Kingdom What are the best UK exclusives?

I am going to place a large UK order soon full of superior exclusives like the Nightmare on Elm St box-set and such.

What are some good UK releases that I should check out?

My order so far:

Coen Brother collection
Conformist, the [pre-order]
Nightmare on Elm Street 1-7 box-set
Son of Rambow
X-Men Quadrilogy [if I can find a seller who ships to the states]

The UKs Alien Anthology set will work out to be pretty cheap in comparison to the US release, especially as you won't be paying VAT (at 20%). Just make sure to avoid the blue cover version if you do, and go with original set. You will most likely receive the amaray version though, not the fold out digipak.

Probably also the case for the Band of Brothers tin.

Thanks. The Repo Man steel looks great.

I actually have both of those sets already, but those suggestions are right down my alley.

Right now there are steelbook editions of a few classic movies like "A Touch of Evil".

I remember a while back, when they had a steelbook of "Psycho", it sold out pretty quickly!

Well, it's tough to judge since you've made your collection private, but here's my stab based on what little you've listed...

Definitely The Innocents.

Also:
Dark Star
Day of the Triffids
Don't Look Now
Paranoiac
Peeping Tom
Pontypool
Quatermass and the Pit
Shallow Grave
Silent Running

How's "The Day of the Triffids"? Is it in the OAR? Good PQ?

That's a great list, I've added most of them to my wish-list. I'll only choose 2-3 to pick up this time but I'll get the rest in the future.

The Business and Football Factory.

Are these just UK releases? Both good movies and very 'English'.

Some black and white war films;

The Cruel Sea
The Dam Busters
Went The Day Well?
Ice Cold in Alex

The Innocents also has a great short film in the extras, The Bespoke Overcoat, although a little heart-rending.

It's the 2009 BBC miniseries, not the 1962 theatrical flick. (But, yeah, I enjoyed it... and it looks great.)
