ITouch users apps suggestion

Okay, so I am totally new to the whole Itouch stuff. I dont have any sort of smartphone (heck my phone only calls people and does texting). So having this ITouch is totally new to me.

I know a few of the more popular apps (Pandora..Facebook..etc etc), but can anyone give a nice little list of 'freebie' apps out there that are cool?

The subject matter of the apps doesnt really matter...just want some fun, cool stuff to play around with.

go to the app store and search the top 50 free apps and just play around with some and see which ones you like

I did that...but from reading it would appear that there are thousands of apps (not necessarily free mind you).

I just want a few suggestions beyond the 'really popular ones'

I don't use many apps because I prefer to max out the music space, but you might consider a Flashlight app, the Shazam app, the IMDB app, the Amazon.com app (this one's quite nice if you use it a lot), the Facebook app, etc.

Yeah, I bought the 32g one because I have a lot of tunes in my old Ipod. I probably should have gotten the 64g but I didnt want to spend that much on it.

I have a couple of those apps you mentioned.
As far as the Shazam app..is there a mic built in or do I need to buy a external mic for the thing?

You just hold the iPhone/iTouch in the direction of the music. I think since the speakers are on the bottom of the unit, the mic probably is too?

I have an 8gb iPhone with 1900-2000 songs, but I'd need at least 32gb to avoid having to make some difficult choices.

labyrinth are pretty fun, there are free and paid versions. i got one on my iPad it's kind of addicting.

I dont think there is a mic on it. I played some music..and the Touch told me it was a no-go. You can buy external mics off Amazon for a matter of pennies...but not something you want to carry around is the thing.
