Default The Butterfly Effect

Is there a US release for the Butterfly Effect? I don't see it on blu-ray.com yet i saw it in FYE yesterday, but it doesn't look like a US copy. It has the MA14 logo instead of a PG-13 Or R logo. I don't know what the deal is with that movie. Anybody know?

I believe its an Alliance (Canadian release), I've heard they have recently been picked up with distribution through places like FYE and Movie Stop. They are notorious for hit or miss releases. so check the reviews / do your homework before you pick it up. They generally have zero extras, but are priced pretty good. They're not all bad if you really enjoy a film and want it now. I have been enjoying From Dusk Till Dawn and The Faculty for some time now courtesy of Alliance and am grateful for it. (Both have solid transfers and blow away their non-anamorphic dvd releases obviously)

I have that Alliance version, and it looks and sounds very good. I'd recommend it for sure. It can be had for a relatively cheap price.

Oh ok, so I guess they never realeased a us version. Do you guys think there will be a us version anytime soon? I'm debating weather to buy it because there's only one sitting at this random fye, I haven't seen it anywhere else.

I would imagine we will eventually see it from Warner, given its fanbase and appeal on home video. The movie has already been released on Blu-ray in almost every other country.

I had this Alliance released and I sold it. The PQ and AQ was pretty good but It did not have any extras, and not even subtitles!. Also, it had the director's cut ending which I do not like. I much preffer the theatrical cut which is missing here. Hope this helps you make the decision.

What is the price? I got mine at my local FYE a few weeks ago for $14.99. Don't pay more than that.

Good. If you're a fan of the movie, go for it. Who knows when WB will get around to releasing it here.
